About Darren Neufeld

 

Darren Neufeld owns and operates Record Sound Productions and checkonetwo.net out of Prince George, BC Canada. His beginnings in audio production began in highschool when he played in his band Augmented. In the year 2000 at Augmented's first live show he met local Industry professional Todd Heinecker who became an early mentor for Darren in the field of sound reinforcement. Through this and other connections, Darren landed some of his earlier professional gigs including his first major audio gig as Front of House Soundman at the Generator Caberet in Prince George in 2004. 

 

In 2005 after meeting his future wife Nicole, the pair relocated to the Greater Vancouve area to pursue education. Darren Graduated from The Art Institute of Vancouver's Professional Recording Arts program in December 2007 and Registered Record Sound Productions shortly thereafter. He began working for AVW-Telav's Vancouver branch in the spring of 2008 and there he was trained in many aspects of audiovisual including sound, lighting, projection and screen technology, rigging, simultaneous interpretation technology, and much more. He has applied his skills far and wide from the BC coast as far as Trinidad and Tobago.

 

Since 2011 he has settled back into his home town of Prince George, BC with his wife Nicole and their son Harrison. Darren owns and opertates Record Sound Productions which services the local audiovisual industry as a freelance enterprise. As another part of the business, he operates a recording studio out of his home as well as this website.
